A Tidbit Of Hope

It's really all you need. Sometimes, you tell God not to get your hopes up, but you realize that if you don't get you hopes up (or if I have no hope entirely), you might miss the chance that you're waiting for without realizing it... And, as life goes, that chance might never come again. We suppose that it's true; even if hope can hurt, it really does help you to get by. When humans don't understand something, you simply need to stop asking yourselves, "Why?" and switch it to a, "Why not?" Troubles in life will come and go as they please. It's a part of life... Like picking up a bag of grapes from the grocery store. No matter how hard you'll try, you can't get a perfect bag of grapes. There will always be one or two rotten ones inside. But at the same time, those rotten ones are still a part of the rest. They all grew in the same garden, on the same vine, on the same little twig. They were good at one point, and even if they weren't, you still need them to make the other grapes look better.

This is something that you all come to learn and accept at one point or another, and if you don't... Well, you might not survive as easily. Having hope is one of the greatest things you can have. And next to hope, comes faith. Another thing that you must learn to have in life. Faith in each other; faith in the unknown; faith that life will come together if you try. But in order to have faith, you must also have hope. You can't have one without the other. Just as such, you can't have destiny without fate. Or you can't have a garden without some kind of nutrition. But there is always a dark side to each moon. There has to be a balance. You can't always have too much blind faith, because the moment that you're wrong, you fall much harder than before.

Balance, like Yin and Yang; like light and darkness; like angels and demons. There will never be true balance throughout the entire world, not yet at least. But with such contradictory environments, you must find the balance within yourselves instead. When the sun goes down, the moon comes up. Yes, the world may be filled with darkness, but you can always find light somewhere; whether it be from the moon, the stars, or the lamp at your bedside (We would have said candle, but We forget that not everyone lives in the past). If you fail to find this light in something, you will be at a loss; and as with such conditions, you will continue to fail until you are able to find that light. Remember, even when night comes (or day for all of you over-obsessed vampire fanatics), it is always day (or night) in another area of the world.

The world has not been consumed in darkness, there is always light somewhere, even if it simply moved to another space. No matter what you may believe. So, there is always hope somewhere, even if you can't find it in yourself yet (that's where the little pinch of faith comes in). But no, sometimes you cannot put full faith into the unknown. You must have a boundary that you can't cross. Sometimes, you must also work just as hard as the opposing side to get to where you are going. You can't put faith into nothing and expect something good to happen. First, you have to plant a seed. Then, you have to nurture and care for it until it can blossom into something beautiful. That little seed could be anything from getting up the courage to stand on stage in front of 300 people, or it could be simply showing your friend a kindness that you haven't seemed to show them lately.

Hope will remain. No matter what happens, no matter what tries to diminish it; it will stay alive. Like the sun, like each and every one of our destinies, and like that little flicker inside a good person's heart... It will always be there, even if you can't see it, or if you can't find a  reason to hold onto it.
